The 4th day of our trip was dedicated to Arts.We started our day in the school, where we prepared some questions that we used during the day. After that, we did some research and looked for information about several famous paintings. Lastly, we did an interactive quiz based on the data that we had collected beforehand.
After all these interesting activities, we visited the San Jerónimo el Real church and one of the world’s most famous museums, El Prado. We spent two hours there and I can definitely say that it was an unbelievable experience to admire the paintings we knew only from Arts class. Several artworks of El Greco, Goya, Bosch, Rembrandt and Velázquez were displayed, among others. We were amazed by all these well-known paintings in so many rooms that we could hardly visit all of them.
In the afternoon, we had some free time that we spent tasting a traditional Spanish dish, called paella. Later, we had a stroll in the historical city centre of Madrid, and some eye-catching monuments: Puerta del Sol, la Plaza Mayor, El Palacio Real and so on.
Overall, I believe that we got an amazing insight into the artistic life of Spain and gained useful experiences as well.
