Spain - Mobility Program -Friday

On Friday morning, we visited Soto del Real's town house where the mayor greeted us in a room and presented the city's operation and goals. After a short speech, we also received some gifts themed around the city.
The other part of the morning was spent in a cultural center where we learned about the history and basics of Flamenco taught to us by dance teachers. We tried the first Sevillana dance which was really great fun. We also could try on the traditional Flamenco dress, the „bata”. I think girls looked really pretty in it.

We were shown how we can use a fan for the dance. These fans can be extremely big but there are also smaller ones. After these hard activities, we had a big traditional Spanish lunch. It was collected at school, and the Spanish students made it at home or bought it, and after everyone went home to their host students.

In the afternoon, we hit the road again and we visited one of the large shopping centers of Madrid, Plaza Norte. We could spend there a couple of hours shopping. Finally, we closed the evening with dinner together.
